Food and drink are the provision for physical bodies, but the provisions for the intellect
are wisdom and knowledge.
Contentment suffices as honor, and good
nature [suffices] as bounty.
Gratitude has three stages: a feeling inside
the heart, an expression by the tongue and a
recompense by the hand.

Good management with enough is more
sufficing than plenty of wealth with extravagance.
Do not attend [too many] weddings, for they will make you yearn for this world and forget the Hereafter. [Instead] attend funerals
because they will make you abstemious in
this world and desirous of the Hereafter.

is not good to speak even if it is true?” He replied, “A man’s praise of himself.”
Whoever habituates himself to lying will not
believe the [words of the] truthful.

Shahaadat of Janabe Fatimah (sa)

Asmā said to them, “O sons of the Prophet,
go and inform your father about the passing away of your mother.” When they came near the masjid, they increased in their crying,
“Our mother has passed away!” Imām ‘Alī (a) took Hasanayn (as) back home,. When his eyes
fell on the dead body of Janabe Fatimah (sa),
he increased in his weeping.

Du’a of Janabe Fatimah (sa)

O Allāh, make me content with what You have given me. Hide my faults and give me good health for as long as You give me life, and forgive me and have mercy on me when You give me death. O Allāh, do not let me undergo hardship in seeking that which You have not decreed for me, and make that which You have decreed for me easy to acquire. O Allāh, repay my parents, and all those who have a right over me for the good they have done to me, with the best of rewards. O Allāh, enable me to discharge that which You have created me for, and do not let me get engrossed in [seeking] the things that You have guaranteed for me. Do not
punish me while I plead for Your forgiveness, and do not deprive me while I beg from You. O Allāh, lower me in my own estimation and increase Your awe in my heart. Inspire me to worship You
and do the things that please You and eschew the actions that
displease You, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

Sunday Ziyārah of Janabe Fatimah (sa)

O Allah send Your blessings on Muhammad and
the Family of Muhammad, In the name of Allah,
the Most Kind and the Most Merciful. Peace be on you, who were tested by your Creator and He found you
patient in the ordeal with which He tried you. I
confirm you, and stand firm by your father’s teaching and that of his successor, may Allah bless both of them. I ask you to unite me with them by virtue of
my affirming your truthfulness, so that my soul is gladdened. Be a witness that I am a supporter of [have been purged by] your wilayah and the wilayah of your Family, may Allah bless them all. O Allah send Your blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad.
