A lie corrupts faith.” al-Kāfī, 2/339 Explanation: Imam al-Ṣādiq (a) warns that lying in any form -whether in serious matters or “just joking”- damages faith. Never lie - not seriously, not as a joke. Every lie, no matter how small or casual, chips away at your faith and your integrity. A person who plays loose with the truth gradually loses the trust of others and the consistency of their own character.
