This battle was fought by the Muslims against the Quraysh of Makkah. Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib, the uncle of the Holy Prophet (saww), was martyred in the Battle of Uhud. He was the first person to be given the title “Sayyid al-Shuhada.”
