When Imam al-Husayn (a) did not \nallow him to go to the battlefield on the Day of Ashura, he did not complain. When he went to get water for the children, he did not drink the water from the river. This shows his loyalty to the Imam of the time. \nBeing brought up by Imam \u2018Ali (a), Hadhrat Abbas (a) was \nsurrounded by love and respect for the Ahlulbayt (a).
