When he was five years old, his mother passed away  while giving birth to his younger brother, Sayyid Muhammad Hasan. A few years later, his father also passed away. Allamah Tabataba\u2019i came from a family of learned and pious scholars. \nHe would recite a few verses from the Holy Qur\u2019an before going to sleep at night so that he could go to sleep with the illumination of these blessed verses.  \nHe passed away on 15th November 1981 at the age of \n77 years and is buried in the Haram of Janabe Fatimah Ma\u2019sumah (sa) in the Holy city of Qum.
